Summoning is a band that I have known about for a long time now. When I was first getting into black metal I heard these guys name a bunch of times, but it was not until recently that I heard there work, and indeed they do good work! Summoning is a epic/folkish/black metal band from Austria. The band consists of just two members one of which use to be in Abigor. The main form of music on this album comes from the keyboards with a little guitar & drums thrown in for good measure. The album has a very medieval sounding theme to it, and is very bleak & dark sounding. They are considered black metal, but that's just due to the black metal like vocals. Vocals are done by both of the members Protector & Silenius. Protector uses a more gothic, dark approach to his vocals while Silenius basically sings the same way he did when he was in Abigor.

These guys create some really dark music that totally captures your attention, and is great music to sit back and relax to. Some of the keyboard sounds are just amazing, and you can almost picture your self being in a forest or back in ancient times while listening to this album. If your into dark music this is one you certainly must not miss!
