Heavily inspired by the splendour & musical magnitude of the '3rd & THE MORTAL', CHALICE were formed by vocalist SHIRALEE, who wanted to create a dark, atmospheric doom Metal experience, with vocals to match the pure & angelic excellence of KARI RUESLATTEN.

Gathering an experienced collective of musicians which on this CD recording includes a classical violinist, CHALICE honed their craft over a number of years, entering the studio in 1998 to record one of Australia's finest Demo & most innovative releases ever.

In December 1999 & January 2000 CHALICE re-entered the famous NESCI'S Studio in Adelaide & under the wizardry of eccentric TONY NESCI 'CHRONICLES OF DYSPHORIA' has taken a totally new height in both technical & artistic brilliance of the Supreme World Class.
